Updated Exhibition at the Information Hub - more news on the new homes for Northwold

Since February the architects have been working on the design of the new homes and the new community centre for Northwold, prior to making a planning application. To keep you informed, we have asked them to provide us with some updates showing how their ideas are taking shape,

These boards are now on display at the HUB, together with some more details on the landscaping works.

You can also view them here by clicking on Latest designs for Northwold's new homes

As always we want to hear your views so please complete the online survey form or call in at the HUB on a Wednesday or a Thursday to see the drawings and to let us have your thoughts. We plan to hold another event to show the completed designs in early June and will keep you posted about that.

We expect to apply for planning for between 70 and 74 new homes and the new Community Centre. This is fewer than we thought as we are no longer looking at the Hackney Council Depot Site, which remains in use.

We will be on the estate both at the HUB and visiting individual residents over the coming few weeks so feel free to ask us for any information

Public Events 29th June and 1st July 2017

The second public events in phase 2 of the consultation presented the new development options for additional homes at Northwold. This followed our introductory events held in May which established the consultation framework and what we’ve learned from feedback so far. The events presented 4 options for potential development of new homes. To read more about the 4 options click the link below to view the material displayed at the events on the 29th June and 1st July.

Click here to download the display boards from the 29th June and 1st July.

Guinness staff (including the maintenance team) and project partners were also on hand to deal with repair issues and to provide Turkish translation for residents. At the events residents could provide feedback on the options at the event or online at this website. Thank you to those who commented at the event and we will be doing further outreach with residents to gather feedback. If you wish to leave your feedback online you can visit the proposal page to have your say. The drop-in events were attended by 98 residents and members of the community.

Over the summer we will be running series of themed workshops for residents on new homes, planning, landscaping, play and amenities and other estate facilities. Further information will be displayed on this website and the next estate newsletter.

    Public Events 18th and 20th May 2017

Phase 2 of the consultation started with two introductory events at the Northwold Community Hall on 18th and 20th of May. These events were an opportunity to look back on phase 1, (summarising what we have learned so far) and to set out the approach and timeline for phase 2. In preparation for the upcoming public events in June/July, the introductory events also set out assessment criteria. The events in June/July will present the different development proposals.

The displays boards presented at the 18th and 20th May events can be downloaded:

Click here to download the display boards from the 18th and 20th May.

The drop-in events were attended by 101 residents who came to view the materials on display and speak to staff from Guinness and its project partners. As well as comments on the potential regeneration of the estate, we also asked attendees to comment on immediate estate improvements , in response to feedback gathered last year. This is in addition to essential maintenance currently being carried out. Thank you to those who have commented. Your comments have been uploaded to the site.

The dates for the next public events are the 29th June and 1st July 2017. Over the coming weeks, we will notify and remind residents through newsletters which will continue to be delivered to each household.

During and after the events residents will be able to comment on the development options, which will also be presented on this website.
