On behalf of the staff at Guinness and the companies involved in the work at Northwold, we would like to thank all the residents who attended our events, completed survey forms, sent in your views, came to meetings and read our newsletters. Whatever it may have involved, we thank you for your involvement in looking at options for the estate and helping The Guinness Partnership select a programme for new homes on the estate.

Final Exhibition – come and see the proposals for new homes at Northwold

This week sees the latest and final design exhibition / event at Northwold prior to the Guinness Partnership submitting its proposals to Hackney Council for planning.

Staff from Guinness and its design team will be at the Information HUB on Tuesday 26th June from 3.30pm to 7.00pm and Saturday 30th June from 11.30am to 3.30pm to display the designs and proposals and help with any queries. The Information HUB will also be open on Wednesday and Thursday, 27th and 28th from 3.30pm to 7.00pm staffed by Newman Francis and PPCR.

The latest design boards will be available on this site from Tuesday 26th.

Just to let people know, that the hours for the event on Saturday are 12 to 3pm, not 2pm as previously advertised.

We do hope you are able to brave the weather and come and see the latest information. But, if you can't make it the information boards are on Commonplace and at the link below.

The information will also be available over the next few weeks if you visit the HUB on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

From Tuesday 27th February there will be new information available about the Guinness proposals for the Northwold Estate. The architects have produced a set of information boards about the plans for new homes on infill sites on the estate. These are the first drawings of how the estate may look in the future so we recommend you call in and see for yourselves. Start time on Tuesday is 3pm until 7.30pm

I f you can't make it on Tuesday, there will be another session on Saturday March 3rd from midday.

We’ve proposed 4 development options to help regenerate the Northwold Estate and we need your feedback so we know what’s the right choice for you. You can add your comments by the 14th August on the four development options. Your feedback is important and will form the narrowing down of options for development.

Come along to one of the gazebo events to see the public display boards from the last event, and provide your comments. Feedback forms and copies of the information boards can also be collected and brought back to staff.

There will upcoming gazebo outreach for residents to view the proposals, recieve printed materials from recent events and leave feedback about the development options. So far we have run two sessions on the 11th and 14th July outside the community centre, thank you to those residents who have left their comments.

The next public consultation events will be held on 29 June 3-8pm and 1 July 12-4pm at the Northwold Community Hall, where we will be presenting the options for development. This is the first of four main public events specifically about the development options this year and we recommend attendance from the beginning to see how they will be progressed and developed.

These consultation events will include details of potential development options, layouts of public space, community facilities and landscaping. The event poster that is displayed around the estate is below.

On Friday 16th June between 4pm-7pm, there will be an event taking place at the Northwold Community Hall for all residents and their families in memory of MP Jo Cox. The weekend marks the anniversary of her death and her family are encouraging people to get together to celebrate the things we have in common – proving there is more that unites us than divides us. The Northwold event is being run and arranged by the Northwold Community Centre with support from the Guinness Partnership.

Come along to the event which will include BBQ food, bouncy castle, face painting and henna drawing. Feel free to bring your own activities and games!

NewmanFrancis will be doing a weekly door knocking session every Wednesday on the estate to speak to residents about the Northwold Commonplace website. The first session happened on the 24th May visiting residents at Abbotstone, Chedworth, Stapleford, Wensdale and Wentwood houses.

The Northwold Commonplace is designed for you to have your say on proposals for additional housing on the estate and estate improvements. As the consultation progresses we will be updating these pages with proposals you can view and comment on to have your say.
