Since February the architects have been working on the design of the new homes and the new community centre for Northwold, prior to making a planning application. To keep you informed, we have asked them to provide us with some updates showing how their ideas are taking shape,
These boards are now on display at the HUB, together with some more details on the landscaping works.
You can also view them here by clicking on Latest designs for Northwold's new homes
As always we want to hear your views so please complete the online survey form or call in at the HUB on a Wednesday or a Thursday to see the drawings and to let us have your thoughts. We plan to hold another event to show the completed designs in early June and will keep you posted about that.
We expect to apply for planning for between 70 and 74 new homes and the new Community Centre. This is fewer than we thought as we are no longer looking at the Hackney Council Depot Site, which remains in use.
We will be on the estate both at the HUB and visiting individual residents over the coming few weeks so feel free to ask us for any information

To all Northwold Residents,
We regret to inform you that we are required to postpone tomorrow’s (Tuesday 17th October) opening of the Northwold Information hub due to unforeseen circumstances.
Guinness apologise for the short notice of the cancellation of the hub opening, which is due to an emergency.
We will shortly update residents of the new opening date as soon as we are able to.
A poster will be put up on the estate to also inform residents.
We are inviting residents to drop into the information hub in order to view the development proposals.
The exhibition material will be regularly updated and we will shortly be presenting feedback made during July and August 2017, how the Northwold Commonplace website has been used so far and provide an update on the immediate estate improvements. The information hub will be open from the 17th October 2017 at 3pm and will remain open for residents to visit after this date during regular opening hours.

2. Weald Square
3. Wensdale House Courtyard
4. Hendale & Scardale Playground

Phase 2 of the consultation started with two introductory events at the Northwold Community Hall on 18th and 20th of May. These events were an opportunity to look back on phase 1, (summarising what we have learned so far) and to set out the approach and timeline for phase 2. In preparation for the upcoming public events in June/July, the introductory events also set out assessment criteria. The events in June/July will present the different development proposals.
The displays boards presented at the 18th and 20th May events can be downloaded:
Click here to download the display boards from the 18th and 20th May.
The drop-in events were attended by 101 residents who came to view the materials on display and speak to staff from Guinness and its project partners. As well as comments on the potential regeneration of the estate, we also asked attendees to comment on immediate estate improvements , in response to feedback gathered last year. This is in addition to essential maintenance currently being carried out. Thank you to those who have commented. Your comments have been uploaded to the site.
The dates for the next public events are the 29th June and 1st July 2017. Over the coming weeks, we will notify and remind residents through newsletters which will continue to be delivered to each household.
During and after the events residents will be able to comment on the development options, which will also be presented on this website.
Northwold Estate newsletters will be continued to be delivered to your home but will also be posted online under the news section.. You can download the May issue here: Northwold Estate May 2017 Newsletter .
